Hansi Flick (the head coach of FC Barcelona) commented on Lamine Yamal waving the Palestinian flag during the five-hour-long parade.
“These are things that I don’t normally like. I have talked about it with him and I have told him that if he wants to do it is his decision, he’s 18 years old. We are dedicated to playing football and we have to take into account what people expect from us”

Should football stay outside politics? I don’t know, probably not. But if Yamal wants to support Palestine, why didn’t he try to join other activists and visit Palestine himself? Why doesn’t he donate a large part of his earnings to Palestinian charities and help fight the humanitarian crisis?
I mean, if you really want to solve a problem and you are rich enough to help, then stop just waving a flag and start doing something at the epicenter of the problem – not in Barcelona.
So actually we do support what Hansi Flick just said about Yamal’s decision to support Palestine
