Football today is a game where money is everything, and other things like principles, passion, and respect often don’t matter anymore. Hopefully, football wasn’t the same in the past.
Do you remember the times when shirt numbers were linked to your position on the field, from 1 to 11? It’s not the best example of “better football”, but rather a fun fact. Still, no one can really know what players and coaches thought about these limitations – whether they were happy or not without the freedom to choose their number.
We want to understand these thoughts through interviews, videos, and press archives.
Some people like modern football, and some don’t. We are not here to judge footballers, fans or FIFA.
