“They tell me that all men are equal in God’s eyes, Messi makes you seriously think about those words.”
Ray Hudson (British commentator) about Leo Messi

I hate comments like these made by football influences because they ruin the understanding of what a truly great football player actually is.
When people say that someone plays well in football (or any other sport) because he has something extraordinary from God, it is only half true. The other thing every GOAT-level player needs is discipline, working on their body 24/7 and the mentality to stay motivated even when playing against defenders like Pepe or Sergio Ramos, whose goal is to destroy your legs.
Talent is never enough. You can look at the history of the Golden Boy award and see how many “hot prospects” failed to even stay at the top level for more than a couple of seasons.
That is why I like Cristiano Ronaldo’s aura more than Lionel Messi. Everybody knows that his achievements are not based only on something extraordinary from God – they are the result of nonstop hard work throughout his entire career.
And no matter where he is playing right now, he never stops.
But okay, this post is totally about Messi and yeah he is the GOAT.
